Orthopaedics & Joint Replacement
Fractures, arthritis, sports injuries and minimally invasive joint replacement.
A fracture from a highway accident, a knee worn down by years of farm work, or a shoulder injured on the cricket field—orthopaedic problems touch almost every family. Aravinda Hospitals & Advanced Medical Services is building an orthopaedic hospital near Mahabubnagar on the NH44 corridor so that bone and joint care no longer requires a journey to the city.
Our department is being developed to offer comprehensive care for fractures, arthritis, sports injuries, and minimally invasive joint replacements, with surgery, rehabilitation, and follow-up under one roof.

Technology & facilities for orthopaedic care
Aravinda Hospitals is being equipped with digital X-ray, CT scan, and MRI, allowing fractures, ligament injuries, and joint disease to be assessed accurately. Ultrasound supports soft-tissue assessment and guided injections.
Operations will be performed in our modular operation theatre complex, designed for infection control—an important consideration in joint replacement—and supported by CSSD, blood storage and transfusion services, and intensive care units where needed. The trauma stabilisation unit in our advanced emergency department receives injured patients 24×7.
Our consultants
Consultants are being appointed — details will be published as the team joins. Our orthopaedic consultants will work with trauma, anaesthesiology, and rehabilitation colleagues. Visit our doctors for updates.

Frequently asked questions
When is joint replacement recommended?
Joint replacement is usually considered when arthritis pain limits daily activities and has not improved with medicines, physiotherapy, or injections. Your surgeon will discuss whether it suits you.
What is minimally invasive joint replacement?
It uses smaller incisions and techniques that spare muscle, which may support earlier mobilisation. Suitability depends on the individual patient.
How long is recovery after knee replacement?
Most people walk with support within days and return to routine activity over several weeks, with physiotherapy playing a key role.
Do you treat sports injuries?
Yes. Ligament, meniscus, and tendon injuries are assessed and treated, including arthroscopic surgery where appropriate.
